Un bolognese per la Confraternita del Rosario in San Domenico a Cremona

Alessandro Tiarini has portrayed in a large canvas the triumph and the saving power of the Marian prayer. The painting has been limned for the Chapel of the Confraternita del Rosario in the Church of San Domenico in Cremona between 1624 and 1626. The painter has depicted the Virgin Mary within I. C. delivering the rosary to the Lepanto winners through the mediation of St. Dominic. The large format of the panel allows Tiarini talent and ability to create compositions with different and new iconographies.
