Abstract

This contribution examines the structure and functioning of the Regional Offices of the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS), with specific reference to the experience of the RUNTS Office of the Liguria Region from 2021 to 2025. After outlining the Register's different sections and the types of Third Sector entities (ETS) eligible for registration, the Author reconstructs the transmigration phases from the former regional and national registers, analysing in detail the Ligurian data relating to voluntary organisations (ODV) and social promotion associations (APS). Drawing on registration data as of 30 June of each year from 2023 to 2025, the contribution traces the evolving trends within the Register, with particular attention to the growth of APS and "other Third Sector entities" (ALTRI ETS) relative to ODV, and provides an analysis of the main causes underlying this development
