Der moderne Staatsbegriff und die Transformation der griechischen Polis zum Staat

Questo contributo propone una definizione precisa di Stato. Rifiuta la limitazione del termine ai soli Stati moderni e considera lo Stato come un concetto valido per tutte le epoche storiche. La definizione riprende la dottrina dei tre elementi che costituiscono lo Stato: territorio, popolo e potere (Georg Jellinek), ma aggiunge le necessarie specificazioni e modifiche. L’articolo discute ulteriormente la posizione di Max Weber e critica alcuni recenti studi degli storici antichi.
