Abstract
The occurrence of Metcalfa pruinosa (Say) in the province of Piacenza (Emilia-Romagna) is reported.
The first observed presence was in 1985 near an ornamental plant nursery. Afterwards the attacks became widespread in spontaneous vegetation, on grape and peach.
