Abstract

In 1983 the Institute of Agricultural Entomology of the University of Milan set up a Taylor suction trap to collect aphids in Casei Gerola, in the province of Pavia (Lombardy). All captured specimens are classified in the three years 1983-1985. On the whole 16802 specimens belonging to 92 species, 57 genera and 6 families have been examined and determined. Most specimens, no less than 9240, tipically live on Gramineae. A thing of great importance is the capture of Drepanosiphum oregonensis Granovsky, Chaitophorus truncatus (Hausmann) and Pleotrichophorus persimilis Börner, species found for the first time in Italy.
