Cernere et paene tangere. Il tatto negli scritti retorici di Cicerone

Dopo aver fornito una breve panoramica del ruolo del tatto nella letteratura latina e, in particolare, nei testi retorici, questo contributo si focalizza sulle opere di Cicerone. Dal momento che Cicerone, come la gran parte degli autori antichi, non riserva esplicitamente sezioni di suoi scritti a questo senso, l’indagine viene condotta su alcuni vocaboli (verbi, aggettivi e nomi) che evocano il tatto nella sua Opera. Particolare attenzione viene prestata alle opere retoriche di Cicerone e ciò che emerge è il suo contributo nel definire il tatto e le sue funzioni – quella cognitiva su tutte – all’interno del contesto del linguaggio latino astratto e del pensiero filosofico antico.
