Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The contribution has not been previously published or submitted to another journal (or an explanation is provided to the editor in the comments).
  • The proposal file is in .doc or .rtf format, created solely using Word software. The file is written in Times New Roman font, size 12 for the text and 10 for footnotes, with single line spacing, and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The contribution must include a title, abstract and keywords in both Italian and English. The text and notes must comply with the stylistic and bibliographic requirements summarised in the editorial guidelines.
  • If you are submitting an essay proposal for double-blind peer review, follow the instructions on How to ensure blind review.
  • I authorise the use of my academic information.
  • I declare that the contribution is the authentic work of the author and that I will inform the Editorial Board of any use of artificial intelligence tools, the tool used, the scope of application and the date of use to allow for reproducibility and verification, as required by the journal's regulations.
  • I declare that, in the event of any economic or non-economic conflicts of interest relating to the proposed contribution, I will immediately report them to the Editorial Office.
  • I declare that I have read and unconditionally accept the journal's regulations and code of ethics.

Author Guidelines

The NAD Journal is divided into the following sections: Editorial, Essays, Chronicles, Book Reviews, Case Comments/Legal Reviews, Special Issues (due to call for papers). Other Contributions.

Essays should have an approximate length of 50,000 characters. Other contributions should have an approximate length of 15,000 characters.

 

Rules and deadlines for the submission of editorial proposals

Editorial proposals can be sent at any time of the year to the following email address: redazione.nad@unimi.it. An AUTHOR'S DATASHEET shall be filed at the following link

If editorial proposals are accepted, authors should send the final draft of the text, according to the following deadlines: by April 1 (issue 1) and October 1 (issue 2) for Essays, and by April 15 (issue 1) and October 15 (issue 2) for Other Contributions.

Essays should be sent in two copies (one with and the other without the Author’s name) together with the Author’s datasheet. Other contributions can be sent in a single non-anonymous copy.

The Editorial Board and the Editorial Staff – after verifying the compliance of submitted articles with NAD-DIS objectives and checking their overall academic value – shall send the essays to the referees, according to their scientific field of expertise.
