The article reconsiders the “Euboean question”, as presented in the two volumes of Euboica II, from an Etruscan viewpoint, placing Tarquinia at the centre of long-term networks linking Euboea, Pithekoussai, Cumae, Phoenicians and Tyrrhenian communities. Workshops, sanctuaries and inscriptions show Tarquinian elites not as passive recipients but as co-producers of a Mediterranean koine, providing, over time, key evidence for routes, chronologies and modalities of these contacts.
