Il presente contributo si propone di analizzare la percezione della civiltà etrusca nell’immaginario collettivo attraverso lo studio di quattro pellicole cinematografiche: L’Etrusco uccide ancora (1972), Assassinio al cimitero etrusco (1982), La maschera etrusca (2007), e La Chimera (2023). L’indagine avviene attraverso la trattazione di temi quali i demoni, la funzione del pozzo e dello specchio e il matriarcato.
This paper aims to analyze the perception of the Etruscan civilization in the collective imagination through the study of four movies: L’Etrusco uccide ancora (1972), Assassinio al cimitero etrusco (1982), La maschera etrusca (2007) and La Chimera (2023). The analysis focuses on themes such as demons, the significance of the well and the mirror, and matriarchy.
