As an introduction, the paper examines specific aspects of the relationship between poetry and work in the late 20th and early 21st centuries, setting out some general considerations on the dialectic of the four contributions featured in this issue. Through the essays by Pusterla, Tortora, Varini, and Piazza, the poetry of work emerges as an ethical and linguistic space, in which the factory experience becomes a verification and reinvention of the statutes and codes of poetic language.
