Books and reading had been object of technological and symbolic changing a few times over time, and every modification had been inevitably accompanied by current in favour or against the change in place. Digital technology development, accompanied by the advent of the Internet and Web, had deeply revolutionised all the communication systems, therefore texts supports and different reading practices beginning to modify as well and, even if they keep unchanged certain traditional features, the process can’t be say finished at all. In this context I try to study how new supports and reading environments – shaped on social networks – contributed to create new reading practices named “social reading” and new discussion networks around book which can be indicated as “social book networks”.
