The northern side rooms of the Terme Milano at Gortys: the limekiln

Abstract

The archaeological excavation conducted by the University of Milan at the site of Gortys (Crete) in 2010 on the northern side of the “Terme Milano” has revealed a new room of the building, called G, characterized by a pebbles paving. On the paving a little limekiln was discoreved, testifying the last phase of life of the abandoned building.

Elena Belgiovine, University of Milan

Elena Belgiovine has achieved the Master Degree in Archaeology at the University of Milan (2009). She is now attending the Post Graduate Master School in Archaeology at the University of Milan and she is engaged in city planning in Greece and in the Roman Empire and in roman-byzantine glasses.
