The Angera Cave (Lake Maggiore, Italy) is a karstic cavity set at the foot of a dolomitic rocky outcrop crowned by the Rocca di Angera. The cave has yielded, during excavations conducted on several occasions during the 20th century, a fair amount of material of various kinds, including numerous faunal remains. This contribution deals with the archaeozoological contents of the site with the aim of reviewing the data acquired through the research of the last century, arriving at a reconstruction of the environmental and cultural context of the faunal remains documented in the Grotta. Finally, a possible use of the studied remains within the framework of the Museum's classical functions is proposed.
