Aesernia. Excavation Under the Cathedral: First Observations on Roman Pottery

In the early ‘80s, excavation under the Cathedral of Isernia returned a large number of fragments of pottery, found in the mediaeval stratigraphy that filled an early imperial public space, maybe a cryptoporticus, in the sacred area of the Latin colony of Aesernia. We intend to expose the first results of the analysis, to verify presence and duration of the types we found.Downloads
