Author Biography

Roberto Cecchi, Council of the "Giorgio Cini" Foundation

Born in Florence in 1949. Graduated in architecture in 1976. He was part of the Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Assets between 1998 and 2012. In Venice, between 1997 and 2001, he was Superintendent of Architectural Assets. Between 2001 and 2011 he was General Director and General Secretary of Ministry for Cultural and Environmental Assets. Between 2011 and 2013 he was Undersecretary of State at the Ministry for Cultural Assets and Activities. Member of the Council of the "Giorgio Cini" Foundation in Venice and was member of the Milan Triennale Foundation. In 2011 jury Authors President for the 49th. Premio Campiello Prize for Literature. He is Author of some two hundred publications dealing with issues relating to the conservation and protection of cultural assets.
