open access policy

Open Access Policy – The journal adheres to the fundamental principles of Open Access, drawing inspiration from the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), which recognizes the free and unrestricted dissemination of peer-reviewed scholarly literature as a public good, made possible by the combination of the scientific tradition of free sharing and the potential of the Internet. Open access removes economic, legal, and technical barriers to the use of scholarly content, allowing researchers, teachers, students, and all those interested to read, download, distribute, and freely use articles, while respecting the integrity of the work and the recognition of authorship, in line with the rules of the journal’s code of ethics. The journal acknowledges that scholarly production entails costs, but maintains that open-access dissemination models are more sustainable and advantageous than traditional ones, promoting innovative funding and cost-recovery models that ensure economic sustainability without limiting access. The aim is to encourage both the self-archiving of articles in open electronic repositories compliant with international standards and the development and support of open-access journals that forgo subscription fees and use copyright to ensure free and permanent access.
