“TIJAN CHE VOLEVA ANDARE A SCUOLA”. DAL RACCONTO DI SÉ ALLA NARRAZIONE SCENICA

Abstract

Queste pagine vogliono raccontare, seppure per brevi cenni, il percorso e l’esito del laboratorio di “Narrazione e teatro” che si è svolto tra dicembre 2021 e marzo 2022 e che ha visto come partecipanti Mustapha Jarjou, Souleymane Bah e Sambare Brunon. A partire dai loro racconti di infanzia, relativi soprattutto alla prima esperienza scolastica, è stata scritta una narrazione in cui le tre storie personali dei partecipanti confluiscono incastrandosi perfettamente. La narrazione è stata poi trasformata in un testo scenico, in parte riportato di seguito, in cui sequenze narrative si alternano a dialoghi inscenati e che gli stessi ragazzi hanno portato al pubblico mettendo in gioco la loro fisicità e le loro voci.  I tre bambini veri si trasfigurano in un personaggio inventato, le tre storie personali diventano la materia viva di una forma espressiva più alta, dove le persone in quanto tali si riscoprono profondamente simili nella loro comune aspirazione alla bellezza e alla comunicazione. Si realizza così un nuovo precario equilibrio tra verità e bellezza, tra espressione autentica e comunicazione artistica.

“Tijan che voleva andare a scuola”. From self-telling to scenic narration

We intend to briefly report the path and outcome of the “Narration and Theatre” workshop which took place between December 2021 and March 2022 thanks to participation of Mustapha Jarjou, Souleymane Bah and Sambare Brunon. Starting from their childhood stories, mainly related to their first school experiences, a narrative text was written where their three personal tales cross and fit perfectly together. The text was then transformed into a script, partially included below, where the narrative sequences alternate with staged dialogues which the participants themselves performed for the public using their bodies and their voices. The three real children were transfigured into an invented character, the three personal stories became the living matter of a higher expressive form, where people discovered deep similarities in their shared aspiration towards beauty and communication. Thus a new, precarious balance was created between truth and beauty, between self-expression and artistic communication.
