L’ENUNCIATO: UNITÀ COMUNICATIVA MINIMA IN PROSPETTIVA DIDATTICA

Abstract

Si può cominciare già dalla scuola secondaria di primo grado a far vedere l’intreccio di livelli e piani e a mettere a fuoco le relazioni e le gerarchie che costituiscono l’architettura semantica di un testo?   La dimensione testuale va riconosciuta soprattutto dal docente che si deve dotare degli strumenti messi a disposizione dalla linguistica del testo e dagli studi più recenti, ma nella didattica se ne deve tener conto già nei livelli più bassi. I contenuti dell’articolo suggeriscono un approccio a tale dimensione a partire dal riconoscimento e dall’analisi dell’Enunciato, unità comunicativa minima del testo.  In quanto struttura breve l’Enunciato è più facile da osservare e da manipolare anche dagli studenti più piccoli e per alcune sue caratteristiche permette di riconoscervi la dimensione comunicativo-testuale. È solo un primo passo per allontanarsi progressivamente dalle forme di superficie del testo verso la ricostruzione della macrostruttura in forme sempre più astratte.

The utterance: the minimum communicative unit from a didactic perspective

In secondary school, can we start to illustrate the interweaving of levels and planes and focus on the relationships and hierarchies that constitute the semantic architecture of a text?   The textual dimension must be recognized above all by the teacher who must use the tools made available by text linguistics and the most recent studies, but in teaching it must be taken into account even at the lowest levels. The article suggests an approach to this dimension starting from the recognition and analysis of the Utterance, the minimum communicative unit of the text.  As a short structure, the Utterance is easier to observe and manipulate, even by the youngest students, and thanks to some of its characteristics it allows us to recognize the communicative-textual dimension. It is only a first step to progressively move away from the surface forms of the text towards the reconstruction of the macrostructure in increasingly abstract ways.
