Abstract

L’identità dello scrittore è cosa strana, che resta – però – sempre legata alle sue radici; la scrittura è sempre autobiografica, e lo è – in particolare – quella degli scrittori che migrano in altro Paese. Ma è giunto il momento di smettere di usare la clausola “scrittori migranti”: ogni scrittore è destabilizzante, nomade, curioso, inquieto, infaticabile. È colui che esce dalla caverna, nel sole; che viene costretto ad allontanarsi, girovagare senza sosta, riempiendosi gli occhi di storie, di portenti, di malefatte, di gioie, di dolori che poi cercherà di raccontare agli altri.

IDENTITY AND LITERATURE

The identity of the writer is a strange thing that is, however, always linked to his roots. Writing is always autobiographical, in particular for writers who migrate to another country. But the time has come to stop using the term “migrant writers”: every writer is destabilizing, nomadic, curious, restless, tireless. Writers come out of caves, into the sun. They are forced to move away, wander incessantly, filling their eyes with stories, portents, evil deeds, joys, sorrows, and then they try to tell others about them.
