Author Biographies

(a cura di) Marco Modenesi, Università degli Studi di Milano

Marco Modenesi is full professor of French Literature at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Milan, where he teaches French Literature and Francophone Literatures. His research interests lie in French fin-de-siècle and XXth century poetry and novel as well as in extra-European Francophone literatures (Quebec, Francophone Canada (Acadia), Mali, Burkina-Faso, Benin, Senegal, Togo and Caribbeans). He is the Director of « Ponts/Ponti. Langues Littératures Civilisations des Pays francophones » (review published by Mimesis Edizioni). His most recent works concerns the novel of the second half of XXth century.

Cristina Brancaglion is associate professor at the Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures of the University of Milan, where she teaches French language and linguistics. Her research interests lie in the area of linguistic variation in France and French-speaking countries, studied through lexicographic and literary sources or through documents taken from the press and social media. Her most recent works aim to deepen, from a historical sociolinguistics point of view, the corrective movement that spread in Montréal in the 20th century.
