Javier Milei’s Argentina «Hoy comienza una nueva era»]

Abstract

The aim of the essay is to show the main changes that the presidency of Javier Milei, leader of the young radical right coalition LLA (La Libertad Avanza), which began on 10th December 2023, represents for Argentina. To this end, the text retraces some aspects of the electoral campaign, identifies the main socio-economic causes at the origin of the consensus for Milei and highlights the significant features of the ceremony and of the speech with which he assumed the presidential mandate. Finally, some of the reforms promoted during the initial months of his government, which represent important changes for the country between light, shadow and continuity, are summarized.
