Abstract

Several authors have noted the presence of sea-terraces on the island of Panarea (Aeolian Islands), which provide evidence of sea-level changes during the Quaternary interglacials. The terraces are at different heights, from a maximum of+80/110 m t0+8/18 m above sea level. A terrace has been found,+50/60
m above sea level, which can date back to the "Milazziano" stage.
