The present paper deals with the Pliocene Pteropods of Northern Italy, and its aim is to previde new data to the biostratigraphy of the Mediterranean Neogene. Samples have been taken from eight stratigraphic sections in the Western Ligury, as well as along the Apennines border, between Tortona and Parma. Moreover, in the same geographic areas, two fossiliferous localities have been considered, whose biostratigraphic framework is surely known.
