Author Biography

Annalisa Pellino, IULM University

Annalisa Pellino is a research fellow at the Department of Communication, Arts and Media, IULM University in Milan, where she collaborates as a lecturer, thesis supervisor, and assistant professor. In 2020, she was visiting scholar at University of California, Irvine. In 2022/23, she researched film circulation and exhibition within the Horizon2020 project “EUMEPLAT – European Media Platforms: Assessing Negative and Positive Externalities for European Culture”. Since 2023, she has been working on the PRIN – “Giallo Atlas. Media History and Popular Culture in Italy (1954-2020)”. Her publications include the monograph La voce in transizione. Cinema, arte contemporanea e cultura fonovisuale (Mimesis, Milano 2023) – which stands for The Voice in Transition. Cinema, Contemporary Art and Audiovisual Culture – along with a number of peer-reviewed essays in academic journals and volumes. She is also part of the editorial team of Cinéma&Cie.
