Author Guidelines

Editorial Guidelines

For the preparation of the text, please STRICTLY follow the editorial criteria.

Instructions for authors

We recommend to use the following template for writing the article:

Text

• Maximum length of 10,000 words (notes and bibliography included)
• Font name: Garamond
• Font size: 12
• Alignment: justified
• Footnote: font name Garamond, font size 10, alignmentment justified
• Sillabyfication: automatic
• Margins: top 3; bottom 3; left 3; right 3
• Paragraph indents: left 0; right 0
• Spacing: line spacing 1,5
• Pages should DO NOT be numbered

First page

• Title: ARTICLE TITLE (capital letters, bold, alignment left, not followed by a full stop, font name Garamond, font size 16)
• Subheading: Subheading article (start a new paragraph, small letters, italic, alignment left, not followed by a full stop, font name Garamond, font size 14)
• Author: First Name Name (start a new paragraph, small letters, alignment left, not followed by a full stop, font name Garamond, font size 12)

From second page

• Paragraphs numbering and/or paragraphs heading :1. Paragraph title (small letters, bold, alignment left, font name Garamond, font size 14), 1.1 Paragraph title (small letters, italic, bold, alignment left, font name Cambria, font size 12)
• Paragraphs are double spaced
• Bulletted list: dotted, indent left 1,25 (automatic)
• Italic should be used only to underline particular expressions, phrases and key words.
• Do not use bond and underline in the text
• References in the text should be indicated in the footnotes  as specified hereafter this bulletted list
• For quotations in the text use double quotation marks. If quotations are substantial use a indent left 1,25 font size 11
• Table contents: text alignment left, font name Cambria, font size 11, headers italic, caption alignment left over the table ( font name Cambria, font size 10), table titol and caption should be separated by using a hyphen. An example:

• Images or other figueres included as part of the text (i.e. graphs or diagrams) should be accompanied with a caption, alignment left, font size 10 and it should be separated from the title by using a hyphen (as required for tables)
• Beware of the use of apostrophes when copying and pasting part of the text into the word file: you need to harmonize the apostrophe font with the text font.

References:

Monographs and essays

1. Name and Surname, Monograph Title, Press, City, year.

2. Name and Surname, Essay Title, in Title Collective work, First Name Name, (edited by), Press, City, year, pp. starting page - final page (example: pp. 1-22).

3. Name and Surname, Essay title, in “Review”, year, volume, pp. starting page - final page (example: pp. 1-22).

Journal Articles

Name and Surname, article title, in “Review or Journal”, date, starting page - final page.

Following quotations

A single work of an author:

1. Name and Surname, op.cit., p. x ss,/ff ( or pp. xx-yy)

More works of the same author:

1. Name and Surname, Full title or part of the monograph, cit., p. x ss./ff. (or pp. xx-yy)

2. Name and Surname, “Full title or part of the title of the essay/article in collective word…”, cit., p. x ss./ff. (or pp. xx-yy)

A new article contained in a collective work already referenced:

1. Name and Surname, “Essay title”, in Full title or part of the collective work title, cit., p.

-Quotations refered to the same source already referenced in a previous footnote:

- Ivi, p. x (or pp. xx-yy)

Quotations to refer again to the last source previously referenced:

- Ibidem.

In the event that the cited scientific article has a DOI reference, the link must be inserted in the notes and in the bibliography.

Complete bibliography

At the end of the article it is necessary to insert the complete bibliography used (for the methods of citation the indications in the part relating to bibliographic references apply, with the only exception that the surname must be indicated first and then the name)
