Abstract

On the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of the death of Robert Kennedy, the section “History and Memory” proposes the final chapter of the book “The Enemy Within”, edited in 1960, in which Robert Kennedy tells his experience as chief counsel of the Senate Select Committee on Improper Activities in the Labor or Management Field. Chaired by Senator McClellan, the Committee investigated criminal practices in the field of labor-management relations. Those pages fervently condemn the dangers of corruption and make a plea to rediscover how morale discipline can guide collective behaviors.

Keywords: Kennedy, corruption, labor union, criminality
