General Pasquale Angelosanto's contribution addresses the issue of defensive activities, information research and counter-information useful for countering the Mafia. By stressing the importance of knowing the "enemy", he identifies the intelligence process as a fundamental tool for dealing with mafia organizations, since it allow law enforcement agencies to identify their "Centres of Gravity", "strengths" towards which to direct the investigative activity.
