The impact of arms trafficking on violence and human rights: the Mexican government’s lawsuit against US manufacturers

The article analyzes the relevance of the uncontrolled proliferation of firearms of legal and illegal origin in the current Mexican scenario of humanitarian crisis, with reference to the role played by the United States, Italy and in general the economic interests linked to the production and trade of weapons. It also takes into account the most recent actions developed by Mexican federal government in the context of a legal strategy aimed at combating firearms trafficking and armed violence in the country and promoting the protection of human rights.
