Abstract

The article describes the results of an empirical research conducted on the national review Music unites the school, from INDRE in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Committee for the practical learning of music for all students, in the period 2020-2021-2022. The initiative, aimed at Italian public schools, offers a place for sharing the most innovative teaching practices in the field of music learning. After being held for years in the presence, in 2020, in full pandemic emergency, it was held online for the first time, enjoying unexpected success. What differences with the past? What formative value? What did students and teachers do? What does their enthusiastic response tell us? Is it perhaps the sign of a residue that has remained unexpressed?
