From the 3rd issue onwards
As a general rule, the articles should be in .docx format file.
Language
The papers are preferably published both in the author’s language and in English.
Abstract
An abstract of a maximum of 600 characters is required both in the author’s language and in English. If the authors submit the research paper only in their language, the length of the English abstract should be of not less than 4000 characters.
The abstracts should be submitted in a separated file.
Key-words
A maximum of 5 key words is required both in the author’s language and in English.
The key words should be submitted in a separated file. When necessary, the indication of the century may be provided (e.g. 15th century).
Editorial rules
The font Calibri should be used for all the files (size 12 for the text, size 10 for the footnotes)
Paragraph
Indentation: Special: First line – by: 0,5 cm
Line spacing: Single
Quotations
Please insert the footnotes markers (position: raised), without brackets, before the punctuation.
The footnotes should be related only to quotation of references and sources.
References
Authors should quote references in the footnotes using the Harvard ‘author-date’ referencing style: Author [Last Name], Year of publication, pages
Example: Padoa Schioppa, 2007, pp. xxx
If you are citing different publications written by the same author in the same year, you must use a lower case letter after the date to differentiate between the works.
Example: Padoa Schioppa, 2014a ; Padoa Schioppa, 2014b
Reference list
Authors should list the references in extenso in alphabetical order, as follows: Author [Last Name Initial], Year of publication: title (italics), place of publication [city], publisher
Example:
Padoa Schioppa A., 2014a: Verso la federazione europea? Tappe e svolte di un lungo cammino, Bologna, Il Mulino
Padoa Schioppa A., 2014b: Ri-formare il giurista, un percorso incompiuto, Torino, Giappichelli
The names of the editors are followed by (ed.)
Example: Massetto G.P., 2010: La rappresentanza negoziale nel diritto comune classico, in A. Padoa Schioppa (ed.), Agire per altri, Napoli, Jovene, pp. 393-493
Journals’ titles should be cited in Roman type in double quotation marks, followed by the Arabian volume number
Example: di Renzo Villata M.G., 2008: Tra consilia, decisiones e tractatus… le vie della conoscenza giuridica nell’età moderna, in “Rivista di storia del diritto italiano”, 81, pp. 15-76
Sources
Sources should be quoted in the footnotes in the usual referencing style: Author [Initial, Last Name], title (italics), Place of publication [city], Publisher, Year of publication
Example: Bartolus de Saxoferrato, Commentaria in primam Codicis partem, Lugduni, apud Dionysium Harsaeum, 1550
Direct quotations
Quotations longer than 2 lines should be separated from the body of the text and indented from the margins and written in a smaller size.
For quotations in the footnotes, and for the shorter ones in the text, enclose the writer’s words in double quotation marks.
Quote exactly as the words appear in the original author’s language.
Paragraphs and table of contents
If the article is divided in paragraphs, please number and title them. In this case, the table of contents precedes the text of the article.
