Abstract

Nell’opera di Rousseau, la poesia riceve valutazioni molto diverse, se non antitetiche. Da un lato, infatti, la poesia viene criticata per il suo ruolo nella corruzione della società; dall’altro, risulta oggetto di un amore profondo. Quest’ultimo comporta il riconoscimento di un'importante funzione morale al genere poetico non solo sul piano normativo ma anche su quello pratico-effettivo della riflessione morale rousseauiana.
