On a scarab from Colle del Forno: some considerations on the globular style production

Abstract

The scarab from Colle del Forno necropolis presented in this note gives the opportunity for some very brief considerations regarding to the globolo-style production, considering also the recent synthesis work by Ulf Hannson, that is at now a very useful update regarding to stylistic, formal, iconographical questions, to the production aspects and represents as well a good integration of the corpus already build up by Peter Zazoff.

Author Biography

Enrico Giovanelli

Enrico Giovanelli became Doctor Philosophiae in Archaelogy in 2009. He has been involved in many projects and activities with the Chair of Etruscology of the Università degli Studi di Milano since 2001. Since 2006 he has been in charge of an excavation area, the inventory of the materials and students coordination for the archaeological mission in Tarquinia. His main research subject in Etruscan glyptic.
