LA SPERIMENTAZIONE NELLE SCUOLE DI MILANO: AUTOBIOGRAFIE LINGUISTICHE, PERCORSI, MATERIALI

Abstract

L’articolo presenta la sperimentazione condotta nelle scuole milanesi del Progetto IRIS attraverso stralci dei materiali prodotti dai docenti e dalle classi coinvolte. In primo luogo, i docenti hanno provato direttamente, attraverso la scrittura della propria autobiografia linguistica, il significato profondo ed emotivamente coinvolgente che la lingua materna e le altre lingue hanno per ognuno. Stralci delle loro autobiografie, organizzati per temi, sono presenti nell’articolo. Gli stessi docenti hanno, in seguito, proposto alle classi varie attività di autobiografia linguistica, ricognizione del plurilinguismo individuale e di classe, scoperta e valorizzazione di altre lingue, riflessione e confronto tra le lingue. L’articolo documenta con immagini e testi le attività condotte nelle diverse classi. Si riportano infine le riflessioni riguardo ai cambiamenti che le attività proposte hanno indotto nei singoli e nei gruppi di alunni.

Experimentations in the classes of Milano: paths, materials, linguistic autobiographies

The article presents the IRIS project conducted in schools in Milan through the work done by the teachers and the classes involved. The teachers put themselves in their student’s shoes by writing their personal linguistic autobiography, exploring the deep and emotionally engaging meaning that the mother tongue and other languages have for each of us. Excerpts of their autobiographies, organized by theme, are presented in the article. The teachers then implemented various activities in their classes: linguistic autobiographies; identification of student and class multilingualism; discovery and appreciation of other languages; considerations and comparisons between languages. The article documents the activities done in several classes with images and written texts. Lastly, the article discusses the changes thanks to the activities that emerged in the individual students and within the class group.
