Abstract

From Homer until Tasso, the epic and chivalric tradition often resort to disguise of the identity of the characters with the use of armours which are different from the usual. As a military stratagem, as an intention of hiding, or wish to snap up others’ values, or an efficient masking aimed at a very assassination, this narrative artifice provides many informations on the obiectives of the individual authors.
