Abstract

Developing linguistic competence in italian ls through indirect feedback and digital technologies

This contribution presents a didactic experience designed to achieve various objectives, and reports the results drawn from a quantitative and qualitative analysis. The aims of the two practical activities proposed to the learners, conceived and implemented taking into account the context of the course, were a) to stimulate metalinguistic reflection, b) to improve linguistic competence, c) to improve the accuracy and fluency of oral production, d) to stimulate motivation. It was also intended to test the effectiveness of indirect corrective feedback, combined with the use of digital technologies, and whether the use of both could be an effective means of engaging and stimulating autonomy in learning. In the contribution, after presenting the theoretical basis of the study, the activities carried out are detailed, examples of the feedback provided by the teacher are given, with examples of the various degrees of implicitness applied. Examples and data of the errors resolved by the learners are provided too.
