Abstract

Strategy-based teaching: a pocket-sized framework for pre-service teachers

In this article, we present a methodological framework divided into two parts. On the one hand, it includes a theoretical framework, defined by general recommendations; on the other, it offers a set of strategies that are the essential elements for lesson planning. The framework is a streamlined version of the one described in Torresan (2022, Un alfabeto di 73 lettere. Strategie didattiche per l’educazione linguistica, Pearson, Milano). This article may benefit those who are learning to teach a language or consolidating their basic training. It proposes a considered teaching philosophy that teachers can use as a reference and adapt to their own profiles and teaching contexts.
