• Call for Contributions # 25-26 (2026-2027)

  The call for contribution for the next issue of «L'uomo nero» has been published.

  Issue, # 25-26, edited by Davide Colombo, will be released in Spring 2027 and will be divided as usual into two main sections: one monographic and the other free-themed.

  The monographic section of # 25-26 is entitled L’Uomo Nero Remix and will be dedicated to a wide range of artistic research developed between the 1960s and 1980s, characterised by the ‘remixing’ of media, tools and extra-artistic
  procedures as visual practices.

  From 1 to 20 July 2026, scholars interested in contributing to the issue are invited to submit their article proposals via the online procedure available on this website.

• Issues from previous series

  06-01-2026

  The issues of the second series of ‘L'uomo nero’, from # 7-8 (September 2011) to # 17-18 (February 2021), were printed by the Mimesis publishing company, which can be contacted directly for any orders.

  Previous issues, from no. 1 (June 2003) to no. 6 (December 2008), are out of print.
