Author Biography

Coraline Refort, University of Florence / Université la Sorbonne Nouvelle

Coraline Refort is currently a postdoc fellow at the University of Sassari, where she works on the National project (PRIN) “WOW – Women Writing around the Camera,” which focuses on mapping the autobiographical writings of Italian actresses. She holds a PhD in Film History from the University of Florence, in cotutelle with Sorbonne Nouvelle University, where her dissertation explored the career of Alice Guy. In 2020, she received the Fotogramma Prize for the best Master’s thesis in Film Studies in Italy. Her doctoral thesis was awarded “excellent cum laude” and selected to represent Sorbonne Nouvelle University in the prestigious Chancellerie des Universités de Paris thesis awards. She is also a lecturer at Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris and the University of Pisa.
