Abstract

Thanks to documentation mostly unpublished kept in various Lombard archives, it is possible to study some of the circumstances and characters that preceded and then led to the founding of the women’s monastery in Como dedicated to Saint Cecilia, expression of the will of eminent family groups in the city.
