"Ex Chordis – A Bowed Strings Journal" is edited by 'N. Piccinni' Conservatory of Music, Bari, and published by Milano University Press. The first Issue (No. I – 2023) provides papers on major topics of the Bowed Strings culture, in the field of artistic research, education and performance practice. The aim is to create a shared hub to link research, education and music practice, by providing new tools from an interdisciplinary perspective.

First Issue is divided into two sections:

- "Essays" provides papers by professors from Academic Institutions or independent researchers;

- "Theses & Projects" provides papers from degree theses and research projects developed within Academic Institutions.
