In closing, the specific case of Linder’s decade-long relationship with Vincenzo Mantovani, Italy’s most prolific translator of North American fiction.

Author Biography

Martino Marazzi, University of Milan

Martino Marazzi is Associate Professor of Italian Literature at the State University of Milan. He was Visiting Professor at New York University and Fellow of the Italian Academy at Columbia University. His books include Through the Periscope (SUNY Press 2022), Italexit (Cesati 2019), Danteum (Cesati 2015), A occhi aperti (FrancoAngeli 2011), Voices of Italian America (Fairleigh Dickinson 2004). His nonfiction piece Amelia was longlisted in the Best American Essays 2017. He collaborated with director Gianfranco Rosi to the script of Notturno (2020).
