Competenze dell'infermiere di pronto soccorso: revisione narrativa della letteratura

Abstract

INTRODUZIONE: I Pronto Soccorso sono ambienti dinamici e imprevedibili che devono garantire risposte e interventi tempestivi affrontando situazioni d’emergenza urgenza. La diversità dei ruoli degli infermieri nelle diverse aree cliniche porta a sviluppare strumenti rivolti al proprio contesto. Le mappature di competenze permettono di declinare le competenze distintive di area e di garantire un’assistenza compente e sicura.

OBIETTIVO: Identificare le competenze dell’infermiere di Pronto Soccorso al fine di definire quelle distintive in questo setting attraverso le mappature già esistenti in letteratura.

METODO: Revisione narrativa della letteratura attraverso la ricerca su banche dati e riviste. La ricerca è stata integrata con risorse secondarie.

RISULTATI: Sono state individuate cinque mappature provenienti dalla letteratura internazionale (FEN; RCN; NENA; CENA; AAENP & ENA). Sono state analizzate secondo nove domini: competenza clinica, comunicazione, team-work, gestione dell’ambiente e delle risorse, sviluppo professionale, leadership, principi legali ed etica professionale, ricerca e qualità. Non sono state individuate mappature di competenze dell’infermiere dell’emergenza nel nostro Paese.

CONCLUSIONI: Lo sviluppo delle mappature ha l’obiettivo di assicurare una pratica sicura e standard per la formazione del professionista. Le competenze analizzate all’interno di questo studio variano a seconda del percorso formativo e del Sistema Sanitario presente nei diversi Stati. Attraverso i nove domini sono state sottolineate le analogie delle mappature che consentono di definire gli standard per l’infermiere dell’emergenza urgenza.
