«Mediolatina Philology» is not a newly founded journal: the first number issued in 1994, and since then the publication has continued with regularity (the one of 2017 is the twenty-fourth volume of the series). The effort to open a new journal is naturally greater than that of keeping it active; but the director, Paolo Chiesa, collects the stimulus proposed by PEML, explaining the reasons why this experience still seems to have a meaning.
