About the Journal

AIM & SCOPE

DISSERTATION NURSING is an online, peer-reviewed scientific journal that ranks among the "Diamond Open Access" journals, allowing authors to publish the proposed articles completely free of charge and to make them available free of charge to readers.

Its Mission is to disseminate the best research performed by students related to nursing sciences (any educational level) that is often conducted to prepare the degree/master / doctoral thesis. Research papers concerning nursing science carried out by nursing professionals are also accepted and welcomed.

Dissertation Nursing's target audience is national and international nursing professionals.

PEER REVIEW

The journal adopts peer review,  a process of evaluation and selection of articles carried out by specialists in the field and aimed at ascertaining and maintaining an appropriate quality according to the publication. After an article is sent to Dissertation Nursing a member of the editorial staff takes charge of the editorial process and assesses the presence of the minimum quality requirements and the adherence of the manuscript to the policy of the journal. If everything is compliant, the manuscript is reviewed by at least two different reviewers, who provide the authors and the publishers with their opinion of experts. If necessary (for example, in case of discordant opinions of the reviewer) it is also sent to a third external reviewer. The reviewers are chosen by the Editor who takes charge of the article, based on their experience and the absence of conflict of interest.

The peer review process is carried out in "Double-blind" mode; this implies that the identity of the authors and reviewers is automatically hidden by the management software until the publication of the article. This process ensures fair evaluation by reviewers and ensures equal access to publication for authors, ensuring the quality of the final paper beyond any inference.

In extraordinary cases, if the editors include experts in the specific field of the article, their involvement in a single article review is considered acceptable, as long as the requirement of double blindness is maintained.

Editorial papers written by the Board are not peer-reviewed but are nevertheless submitted to the editors-in-chief and the scientific director for approval.

The entire double blind peer review process is managed through the Open Journal System (OJS)software. Proposals submitted by contributors to the journal or by persons who have a close relationship with them are evaluated through a  special review process aimed at ensuring fairness of judgment and transparency.

EDITORIAL DECISIONS

Editorial decisions are suggested by the Section Editors to the Editors-in-Chief following the Peer Review and review of the submitted documents. The Scientific Director re-evaluates each article suitable for publication. The Editor-in-Chief and the Scientific Director reserve the right to retract their approval of publication for any reason at any time during the editorial process.

After using this tool/service, the author(s) have reviewed and edited the content as necessary and take full responsibility for the content of the publication."

Editors are not allowed to upload received manuscripts into artificial intelligence software, in order not to risk compromising privacy and copyright.
